    Rifle Scopes Reticle seems canted......

I do have a bubble mount on my scope. I will have to try the string method at the range next. Using the Wheeler Level Level Level and the scope mounted bubble level it shows everything correct. If the string method shows level than I'll know its me. Thanks all.

I have a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50. When I mount the scope on my rifle using the Wheeler Level kit the MilDot reticle seems canted slightly counter clockwise when viewed. Gunsmithing Bedding with action screws.

I used the factory screws when I bedded the lug area back to the front pillar area. I torqued down to 45 inch/lbs. Came out nice and smooth. Just didn't have a thick layer of bedding compound due to torqueing but as long as the barrel is still free floated I'm happy.

So I just bedded my recoil lug using Kiwi shoe polish as the releasing agent. Now I'm trying to remove the shoe polish but there's still a light film I can't get off the action and barrel. What have you guys used? Thanks.

    IOR Valdada vs Vortex rings

I tried to order a set of Seekins rings and they were out of the size I wanted. They told me to order from Vortex as those were Seekins also.

For what you intend to use it for a fixed 10x can be used but I believe you'll be happier overall with a variable.
