Re: (bino+rangefinder) vs (combined bino-rangefinder) I have owned the ZEISS Victory 10x45 RF for a little over 2 years now. They are a spectacular observation piece, with many refined features over the Geovid. I have ranged game size animals beyond 1000 yards, and have registered a max...
Re: Act of Valor It is a shame how many people who see this in the theater take it as "just another action movie" when it is indeed everyday life for the guys on the teams. The movie definitely delivers a message.
Re: SB versus Zeiss conquest You need to know that the Rapid Z 800 was designed for bullets with muzzle velocity higher than 2950 FPS and for weights of 140-200 grain. If you are running this on a .223, go with the 6.5-20x50 rapid z varmint. If on a .308, then the 4.5-14 rapid z 1000...
Re: PLRF-10 vs Zeiss Victory RF 8/10x45T I have used the Zeiss 10x45 RF out to 1722 yards on Granite ledges in Nevada's Ruby Mountains. Pretty nice binos.

Re: Pheasant hunting boots The Filson boots are a great deal if your size is still available. Dollar for Dollar it is very tough to beat a danner boot. If you are hunting crop ground, I would go with a rubber bottom boot on the wet days. If it is all grass and crp, leather boots will work...
Re: What to take Elk Hunting in Wyoming this Fall? 300 wsm has served me well since 2005. I have killed several elk and deer with 165 and 180 grain Nosler Partitions. I run a 3.5-10x44 Zeiss Conquest for my scope. Great reliablity with no issues. Any higher power than this requires a...

Re: Thoughts on Zeiss Victory Diavari 6x24x56 ? The highest magnification you can get in the Zeiss Diavari line is 3-12x56 offering FFP and Mil Dot reticle. The only reason this would not be considered a "Tactical" scope is because it doesn't have extended knobs on it. One call to Kenton...

Re: TRIJICON ACOG TA33-8....ISSUES???? Also, Put a piece of black tape over the top of the fiber optic when you initially sight it in. This will reduce the bloom of the chevron and give you a more precise aiming point.
Re: Colorado Mule Deer Hunt Did you draw a tag for this year or are you buying a landowner tag? What unit are you wanting to hunt in? Tag application deadline for Colorado was the first week in April.
Re: .300WM Optics Choice help I would pick your flavor in the Zeiss line. They are all recoil tested to 1500 g's @ 1 milisecond. This is multidirectional testing and is far more recoil resistant than other brands.
