Re: The Brown Truck came today! I'm almost in the same boat as you rookie. I think I'm going to pick up a EGW base and Burris XTR rings in low for my SPS Tac. .308. As for the scope I think I may take the advice of another user and try a scope from Wonder Optics.

Millett scopes? There is a user selling: Millett 6.5-25X56mm side P/A, duplex. $210 Would it be better than a 3-9x50mm Leupold Rifleman for $290?

I have a Rem. 700 SPS Tact. coming pretty soon and I'm not sure what base/rings to get for the scope. I'm probably going to put a Leupold 6-9x50mm Rifleman from Academy on it because I'm on a really tight budget and it's going to be for coyote calling. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
