I had a good look at one at NRA in April to see if I could see the flicker people have mentioned, but I couldn't really see the issue, even when I wasn't squarely positioned behind the scope. The dot on the TMR version cranked down to x1 was very bright.
Hasn't Leupold already hit it out of the park with their Mk6 1-6 offering? It's light weight and has a bright daylight visible red dot. What I'd like to see is more makers offering FFP scopes, as I can't see the need for SFP scopes with most of the new reticle offerings, and for makers to stop...
Probably been discussed lots of times, but does anyone know whether this is possible and whether Leupold offer this? The M2 is 1/2 MOA adjustments, so 7 clicks roughly to a Mil.
3-gunning. I hear the MK8 like the MK6 has eye box problems with the illuminated reticle at x1. Apparently you have to position your eye just right behind the glass to see the reticle. I could be wrong but I don't think the IOR or March are Aimpoint daylight bright. I agree the Swarovski is...
I use a 2.5-10 SFP scope and am very conscious of my power setting for holdovers and hold unders. 1 mil versus 2 mils versus 4 mils, is a big difference!
Can anyone explains why some of the high-end scope makers are still making SFP scopes. It's great having a nice big zoom range with a fancy ranging reticle but if you can only range at full, half and low power what's the point?
What reticle? I have a mil-dot on mine. I zero at 245 yds. and then just use the reticle to range off. No need to adjust the turrets mine are capped. Remember as this is an SF scope you can only range off at full power, half power and low power.
Are these people still making 308 bolt carriers? And do they have a web address? A search comes up with vendors selling Young's parts, but I can't find their company web address or contact details.
There's a lot of competition out there in 1-6, and even 1-8 mag range now. I'd like to see more FFP offerings, there's very little need for SFP scopes with milling style reticles.
