Gunsmithing A quick thanks to you all

I just wanted to take a minute and thank everybody on The Hide for their assistance. I know that a lot of you are professionals with real work to do, instead of entertaining my petty little problems. I don't often post here (and no, I am not trying to pad posts to sell anything) but when I do...

    Gunsmithing Savage 110E Bolt problem

My Lt. brought a used Savage to me to go through prior to giving it to a young relative as a gift. It is a 110E in .270 Win, in the 910XXX serial range. Gunsmithing Picatiny rail for a 1903 Springfield

I recently aquired a nicely sporterized (the metal work, anyway) 1903 Springfield that is chambered in 300wm. The rifle is drilled and tapped for a two piece Weaver base and the bold handle has already been turned down. By the way, serial range puts in into the 1930's so no worry about an early...

    Oehler ballistic lab

I seem to recall years ago Oehler made what they called a Ballistic Lab that used strain gauges, a chrono and a laptop pc. Is it still available, has anyone used or does anyone use one and if so, what do you think of it?
