I have a question regarding the choice of rifles for out military. I was told that the USA M24 SWS uses a long action Remington and that the USMC M40 sws uses a short action Remington. Is there a logical reason for the difference? Thanks Duey

OK guys help me with this. What is the difference in Douglass' 4 groove vs. their 6 groove barrels?? What advantage dose one have over the other? If they make such good barrels ( and I believe that they DO) why make two different groove counts? Thanks Duey

Dose anybody know if the WSM line of cartridges uses the same bolt face as the WSSM line? Or to put it another way, can a take an action in 300WSM and put a new barrel on it in 243WSSM with out having to make any modifications to the action?

Ok, so I just got an FN SPR action from CDNN and I am planing on having a Douglas barrel installed by Douglas. The question is should I worry about not having the action " blueprinted" or " tuned" ?
