New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I’ve got a few. Really like the FN 509 & 545. Very accurate and have been 100% reliable. Put an Apex trigger in the 9. Honestly one of the best “plastic gun” triggers I’ve felt.
Some good info in this thread for you.
If I recall correctly 300blk (not referring to 300 whisper) was designed around a 9” barrel.
I’ve chosen that length for all of mine. Works well out to 150yds’ish using 220gr loads with Rugged 762 cans. Very quiet, very reliable.

No “NF” logo in the throw lever?
Obviously that serial number was used more than once on fakes.
I’m going to start asking for the serial number and call NF.
Slam is Seekins custom shop hunting folder. The new Element hunter is similar but has carbon barrel and is a few oz heavier for about $1200 less than the Slam
Interesting I haven’t had the actual Camo Form brand wrap get sticky. Have had the cheap off brand stuff go bad. I like the fact it’s cheap, easy and fairly durable.
Reading through these posts made me think of my experience shooting the KAC 14.5” 6.5 at PRE in 2020. I initially asked the rep what the heck KAC was doing making a 14.5. His response was that SOF required a rifle that could be used 0-1200. It clicked. Makes sense.
