    77gr. smk powder recommendation.

I've had good luck with Ramshot TAC myself. They publish data for 5.56 pressures as well as .223. I run them a little on the hot side, but haven't chrono'd my current load. Varget works, but it doesn't push them quite as fast and it doesn't meter too well from volumetric systems.

Powder suggestions for 9mm with 3 inch barrel

Re: Powder suggestions for 9mm with 3 inch barrel I don't have any 9mms that short, but I've had good luck with Viht N320 and 147gr plated RNs. It's not cheap, but it's worked well for me.

    recomend a good bullet puller

Re: recomend a good bullet puller I've had good luck with the Hornady collet type puller, but I don't use it much and only for rifle rounds.

    Switching Brass/ POI difference?

Re: Switching Brass/ POI difference? Change anything and you should expect something different. There might be a difference in case capacity and neck tension that could definitely change the pressure and POI. It's usually smart when changing any component to start low on the powder and work...

    Problems finding seating depth

Re: Problems finding seating depth The problem, I believe, comes from the taper of the VLDs and the taper of the leade combined with the soft metal makes it almost impossible to get a consistent reading. That's the mush you're feeling. Unless you can measure the force you'll be hard pressed...

    Shoulder Bump

Re: Shoulder Bump Could be several things. It could be a measurement error. Digital calipers that can be rezeroed with the press of a button are a mixed blessing. A piece of dirt not wiped off before zeroing or removing and replacing the comparator jaws could make that much difference. I...

    chamfer and deburr everytime?

Re: chamfer and deburr everytime? If they look fine and you aren't trimming them, then there doesn't seem to be any reason I can think of to chamfer or deburr what's already chamfered and deburred. I've certainly never bothered.

    Whats Causing this?

Re: Whats Causing this? Might be that or it might be the neck hitting the lugs on the barrel extension on the way out. I get similar marks from my AR-15.

    Reloading,COL,and DBM question.

Re: Reloading,COL,and DBM question. Personally, I wouldn't bother trying to fit a DBM to a Hogue stock unless it would fit the standard BDL inlet. Most require hogging out a fair bit of material and I feel like that might make that already flimsy stock even worse. To each his own. I did look...

    Reloading,COL,and DBM question.

Re: Reloading,COL,and DBM question. My real deal AICS mags will handle a COAL of 2.880 inches without modification and with a small allowance for variation. I think the actual measurement is 2.890. They feed reliably in testing at 2.880, but I don't know if they would under field conditions...

    Black hills Brass

Re: Black hills Brass You should be able to tell if there was a crimp there or not. There's usually a ring around the primer pocket of material that's slightly depressed. If that's not present I would guess it's not crimped. I bought a few hundred rounds of Black Hills Gold .308 match a few...

    Detach mag options???

Re: Detach mag options??? I like the looks of the Seekins setup and will probably give it a shot on one of my next builds. I've got a Surgeon DBM in an HS Precision stock and it took a fair amount of work to get it in there. I cut the inlet on a table top milling machine and even with that it...

Need some "regular" sling attachments for TAB

Re: Need some "regular" sling attachments for TAB They've got the replacements over at Rifles only. I went from the standard swivels to flush cups. In fact, if you want 'em in Coyote brown I've got parts that are surplus to my needs. PM me.
