Ill pack up the chono. i am also going to try my best to be there by 9. might not make it, i have to work tonight and will come in by way of scottsvagus.
good Lord i sure hope not. it would be kind of ironic that there is a debates about drugs and gun violence going on and that the BATF would get cuts... just sayin it is almost poetic.
i also want my tirant much sooner than a year.
thought i would update this thread with some action. my slide has been finished by AETi guns and is on its way back. it only took one week and a day from the day i shipped the slide! pretty fast turn around.
I ended up going with a rmr04 because it just sounded like less hassle. i will post...
I tend to do the same thing. it has always been faster for me. walk up pop off a shot, take steps backwards take another in the amount of time it takes you to walk 100 yard and shoot 2-3 times your done sighting in a brand new rifle.
And which AI mount have you tried? please fill me in on your experience with a AW and an AI mount dovetail or pic?
Where is NOVA? if it is anywhere near south central KY then you can come to a meet up at park mammoth on april 13th and i will show you first hand how it is repeatable. i can take...
Hell I have even taken my scope out of my AI rings, readjusted the scope in the rings, tightened everything down to a different tightness and then put it back on my rifle. i was only .1 mil off vertically high and .1 mil off horizontally right.
i think i have to point out at this point that good rings and the ability to detach and then mount again without a change in zero is not mutually exclusive. take the AI mount for example. you can take it off and put it right back on and shoot into the same group. And to beat all it is made of...
You want the bull barrel not the cow barrel!! That's some good stuff. I have never broken in any of my guns just take them home a say well let's see what it will do.
I like velocity. The bullpup design makes it an easy choice get the long barrel with more velocity and with a can attached to will still have a rifle about the same size as the non-bullpup rifles without a suppressor.
People get jealous when you start talking about 2900 fps from 175 smks and...
I believe that is mainly due to the weight of the suppressor. As the barrel heats up the can will "move" the barrel a tad bit. I have a 26" sendero contour from GAP with a 14oz Ti arbiter that I haven't been able to tell much difference in though once the barrel gets good and warm.
I am having the same feelings as many of the others that have posted I believe. the 10mm is a power round not something meant to be suppressed. but if you are set on doing it go with a .45 can that way when you hear the difference in .45 and 10mm you can get a new .45 and still use the same tax...
Lowlight had videos posted up with both thread mounted and QD or brake mounted cans. It is a good one to watch. If you still don't know what to do just KISS and get a direct thread can, lots of good choices out there.
I like mine. i carry it almost every day. i have had a failure to feed a time or two and it is mainly when loading the firearm the first time in my gun. if you don't pull the slide back as far as it will go it will not feed hornady z-max ammo. it is very accurate though and with the 7 round mag...
I know it has been beat like a dead horse but i would go with the 30 cal first. just adding in a little more peer pressure. to me a 22 rifle is not loud enough to warrant hearing protection but a 308 is something i would not shoot without ear plugs. my ti-arbiter is quiet enough that i can go...
