Re: Cheapest way to buy a 338 lapua rifle Savage 110 BA is the direction I chose to take. Good trigger, its got a gen 3 Magpul stock, muzzle brake that works well, and box magazine that holds 5 rounds just like the remington. Put a Nightforce on top and your still under what some rifles cost.

Re: 338 lapua lock-base 250gr I have tried the new 300 gr Bergers Hybrids, 250 and 300 gr Sierra HPBT, and the Lapua 250 gr scenars. The Lapua have performed better than the rest. I'm using 93 gr of H1000. Barrel is a 1 in 9 twist.

Anyone out there using Bergers new 300 gn hybrid bullet in .338 lapua. 300 gn sierra hpbt are working wonders in my savage 110 ba with H1000. Just wondering on what to expect with the bergers.

Anybody out there in western Oklahoma having any competitions? We have some rifle playing card shoots at my local range from time to time but lately its been mainly pistol stuff.

Just got my Savage 110 BA rigged up ready to go. Has anybody loaded for this yet? I've got Lapua brass and Sierra bullets on the way and looking to load some up with some Retumbo I have. Any other suggestions?
