I spoke with Dustin the other day about this very issue. He said that he would have to pay a die/tool maker to grind this profile on each cutter, and that each 3 way cutter would have to be case specific. Cost would be around $100 just for each cutter that would then fit inside his housing. So...
I use the 58g Vmax in my 243wssm loaded down to 3300 fps. 600 yds would be no problem. Out of the 40 or so coyotes I shot last season I only had 2 blowouts. 1 was a pup, and the other was a very thin mangy female and both were broadside shots. I also use the 75g Vmax which would take you out to...
Your explanation makes a lot of sense. Thank you! I spoke with David earlier today (owner of Bench source) about this question and he said he thought the BBQ regulator and hoses would work but he was unsure how much psi was needed in a regulator. Now after your explanation I realize that's more...
Help me understand why a $30 two hose regulated setup like the ones mentioned above won't work? If the torch heads are left wide open, then there should be no restriction and u should be getting a regulated 10 psi thru the torches. This is typically enough to run the burners on a BBQ grill so...
Glad I found this thread. I had just called "the worlds finest trimmer" guy to ask a few questions about his product. I must say he was less than enthusiastic and seemed a bit put off by my few questions. Very short. That conversation made me do some more shopping around. Can't afford a...
I have the IOR 3.5-18x50. I have tried several of the switch view levers including the new Eagle Eye plastic adjustable one. None of these are working. The stock nub on the mag ring is too high to fit a switchview but not high enough to easily move the magnification. Anyone found something...
Just a note. I have several 243wssm in the AR platform. I shoot a 12 twist in all of them. I shoot the 55 to 75g pills at anywhere from 3600 to 3900 fps and I just finally shot out my first barrel with a round count of 3300. In fact the rifling was still fine it was the chamber that was...
Looks good. That being said, I recently checked with "On Target Customs" for a Multicam job. He said it takes a minimum of seven colors to reproduce, and is one of the most difficult patterns to recreate.
I personally use the IOR Sfp scopes. To me I only see a small advantage on a FFP Scope for unknown range tactical matches that don't allow rangefinders. If a rangefinder is available then I say SFP all the way. For hunting, low light hunting, known range shooting, rangefinder available targets...
So, if my ring height says 1.46", is that not the height I use? Do I actually need to measure center of barrel to center of mounted scope? Thanks I'm still learning.
