I just got one in 300 Win Mag on a trade and wanted to here what opinions people had of them. From the reviews it should have good accuracy. It was made in 1980 but looks to have only a few rounds through her. Stainless steel and McMillian stock. Anyone have a chance to play with one like...

Re: 30-06 versus 300wsm I went to the 300 WSM for the short action. I reload so ammo choice is wide open. If you don't care about action length go for 06 the barrel will last longer. The cost and availablity of 06 ammo is also better. They both do a good job at making things dead.
