AICS comes with the new skins but is the chassis the same underneath?

I got a set of black skins without the square cut out, easy enough to file/dremmel them to fit. Not sure which model they were, no action bolt access either. Work perfectly.

    Night Vision PVS-22 Question

Hello Vic. Lost count with 556, but about 400 with the 7.62. The PVS-14 and D-760 still motor along great as well. And no, I don't mount the PVS-14 on the AK anymore! The IR laser is the only way to go, and as the quality of your NV goes up, the need for illumination goes down.

    AICS and Jewell Trigger

Should have taken it to the buddy's machine shop, but as too easy with a file and dremmel.

Government profile barrel 20", just not sufficient for a semi auto in the accuracy department. Replaced it with a Compas Lake 14.5" SS and thrilled.

Leupold Mark 4 Spotting Scope Mil-dot Reticle?

The thick cross hairs are a plus in low light, help you find the reticle center, and I have fair function at min mag with the Mark 4 with both PVS-14 and PVS-22 NV scopes. For what it's worth, I use a P4.

    Night Vision PVS-22 Question

I love the gain adjustment on the 22, centering the respective scope axis helps image quality a minute bit, but I have run some impressive offset on the mounts with little to no change in accuracy or image quality. With a decent illuminator, long range is surprising with this setup. Variable...

    Night Vision PVS-22 Question

I got a MilSpec (which means little) AN/PVS-22 from Vic and have no problem with sharpness at magnifications under 9-10X. When dialed up to 12X sharpness suffers a bit. This is using it with a USO SN-3 3.2-17X44 or a USO SN-3 1.8-10X37 as well as TA11, TA31, and TA55 ACOGs. At closer ranges...

Leupold Mark 4 Spotting Scope Mil-dot Reticle?

I paid about that for a New P4 reticle Leupold spotter several years ago, zero regrets. And I use P4, TMR and GAP reticles in various scopes, the P4 was an excellent choice.

Rifle Scopes Looks like USO has changed model names?

Re: Looks like USO has changed model names? I have a SN-3 1.8-10X37 and actually prefer it to the 44mm version, even when used with the OSTI PVS-22 UNS. Seems like it's easier to get the focus dead on.

    2013 Leica Geovid

Re: 2013 Leica Geovid Haven't seen the new model, but my old 10X42 have been superb, lost in the snow/ice (weeks but were returned by a guide, eventually), he didn't know they had a rangefinder. For my envelope, they are near flawless. I paid $1542 shipped, very worth it.

First Radio Equipment - Recommendations / Thought?

Re: First Radio Equipment - Recommendations / Thought? Modded ICOM 92AD and some F-60 handhelds, all waterproof and excellent short range comm. Need to research bat options for the Bao Feng (Yausa), and excellent software programmable radio but doesn't hold a charge like quality units.

Leupold GR and M4 spotters, whats the difference?

Re: Leupold GR and M4 spotters, whats the difference? I was led to believe superior compatibility with NV devices, my P4 reticle MK4 works great with the PVS-14 and the OSTI AN/PVS-22. Admittedly max power is a bit much, but lower magnifications (under 16X) have been very effective.

Target rounds not good for protection?

Re: Target rounds not good for protection? hollowpoint tech especially for pistol rounds is too good to ignore. I like Ranger T in 40 and 45. Hornady rifle rounds, 5.56 T2 and 178 .308 have also worked well for me. My only personal experience was with 45 hollowpoint, from a 4" Commander it...

    Scope Lens covers other than....

Re: Scope Lens covers other than.... I use a combination of Scopeoats and ARDs, Butler Creeks suck, they seem to break all the time now. In comparison, the flip up caps I got with my M4 Aimpoints seem indestructible. I've had good luck with the 3-9X36 Loopy with the OSTI ANPVS-22, the ARD...

Re: Need Advice on AICS 2.0 Rail mount for CNVD-LR N/V A lot of people don't know they make the ILARK lower rail (replaces sling swivel bipod mount) for the IMUNS, have found it to be a quality piece.
