I like the ALG ACT in single stages so no complaints there I find the AST to be superior to the SSA with the reset and shoe.

great bipods that can take an incredible amount of abuse and they don't move unnecessarily. I love my ASTs, even swapped out all other triggers for them except 1 SSE

I go longer and carry a spare at all times.

no it's all good, no one is perfect and they pump out crap from time to time. I'm no brand loyalist, I only go with what works, is reliable, accurate, etc. but yes, they have shit the bed at times too.
