    True oil works good on laminate stocks. I don't no how to fix the chip other than sanding it away. I just refinished one of mine about 25 coats of true oil then buffed it out with polishing compound and it looks great

    I have a savage 204 that I don't like can I put a new 223 barrel on it head space it and be done with it. Or is there more that has to be done I think the 204 and 223 round is identical except the obvious 20 cal / 22 cal .
