Here's my dad shooting his .308 700 in an XLR he modified. We were shooting at 400 yards that day, we didn't do too bad. Targets Dad shooting his XLR Towards the targets at 400y One of his 3 shot groups on a 6" plate. Not bad at 400y.

Yeah, recontoured. As in contoured again, to a smaller profile. Lol

Sweet. Know anyone who can recontour my barrel? They don't want to do that, which is understandable.

Any idea where I can get the barrel recontoured? Krieger hasn't responded to me yet.

I'm fairly certain I can do without the flutes if the barrel recontouring is done well.
