I would imagine that is so your bore guide will clear your ejector. I have a bore guide with out the cutout so I remove my ejector every time I clean. It really helps keep the solvent out of my action. Shane

4Certain, That sounds like it could work. To me the toughest part of using these single-shot adapters is getting the bullet positioned on top of the feed tray (it tends to be narrow). I've sense bought one of Vudoo's V22S and it is a much better answer if you shoot shot single-shot a lot...
