Remington 597 / .17 HMR factory recall?
I posted a thread yesterday asking for a recommendation between the 597 and the 10-22. Last night I went to an Academy in Sherman Texas to look at what they had in stock in a 10-22 or 597 model. Anyway, the clerk told me that Remington had issued a recall notice on the 597 in either 22 WMR or 17...- Partychief

I was at an Academy store yesterday and had the gun counter clerk tell me that there was a recall on all 597's in .22 mag. I am a lifelong Remington fan but that piece of info swayed...- Partychief

I am making my Christmas shopping list for my 14 and 15 year old boys.
