Re: Powder burns all the way down the case neck the neck is narrowest at the top instead of being strait to the top of the neck. I haven't measured it but you can see it by looking.It was new win brass. None of my other rifles have ever had that happen and my 22-250 only has burns halfway...

I have a 223 and I'm getting powder burns down to the shoulder on the neck, and they appear to be rounded in at the top of the neck. This is a new barrel 26" and 7twist, right now I'm shooting 75bthp hornadays 25gr of varget seated just off the rifling. Just wondering what might be wrong, or if...

Re: Savage detachable mag conversion kit Does the cdi work better than the factory. My factory 308 wouldn't feed well the rounds would pop up and cram into the back of the barrel. My 223 was fine until I rebarreled and now using 75gr bullets, was almost thinking of using a single follower...

Re: can .243 be used on wild boar hunt? I shot one in the head with a .243 and it hit and went halfway down the pig right along the loins, 80 grain winchester silver box, power point I think. It was a big pig too, probably 450lbs.

Re: Bore solvent, best one out there? Is butch's harsh on the bore if not taken out right away, and if so what exactly is it that is bad for barrels? I use butch's and then kroil to coat the barrel when I put it away.

Re: Do you need to clean a rifle every time you shoot? So is it ok to put the rifle away without cleaning it for a few days at a time? Or would you always want to at least clean the carbon out before storing it.

Re: To clean or not to clean I always do before I put it away for more than a week.I thought I had to because the powder was bad to leave in there. So it's not a big deal unless it's corrosive military stuff.

What is the max bullet grain for the 223 1 in 7" twist 26"barrel. I see berger makes all the way up to 105 grain. Wondering how big people have tried and had success with, and if there is much benefit over 75 grains. I only have 600 yards here at the house to shoot also.

Re: New center feed box magazine question I did mine with my hands by squeezing the sides together. I tried to put it on the bottom of my blind centerfeed. I thought they made all the parts interchangeable, but it didn't fit.
