Good looking set up there. I have a Branham rail on mine now and it doesn't quite get out there far enough. I shoot 3 gun in another state and I don't want to file paperwork every month just to take it there. This might be an option for me. I have a SOCOM 7.62 Mini in ATF jail right now.

Since this keeps coming up I guess everyone wants more updates. I have a SCAR 17 with a Steiner 4-16 in a Borbo dual throw lever mount. Best group so far is .7MOA at 100 with a 5 round group. It has hit 4" plates at 500 yards consistently.

If your thumb is getting hit by the charging handle you aren't using your sling properly.

I've had the pleasure of shooting both side by side and I own one of them. The REPR was heavier, had more recoil, and wasn't as accurate. They were both 16" with PWS brakes. This question was very different two or three years ago, the SCAR has come a long way in that time. Issues fixed in...

Thanks for the update. My 9 month wait time just got longer. Ugh. So much for sneaking in under the 90 day review.

What an old thread! Ultimately I ended up with a SCAR 17 and I couldn't be happier. I bought a .308 heavy barrel DPMS and it was just too much. Sold that to fund the (now two) SCARs. Now I have a Steiner 4-16 waiting to get put on it.

I know Tim personally. He is a legit shooter.

That makes sense. I have the Steiner 4-16 with a 34mm tube.

Today I got my new scope and it has a 50mm objective. Any suggestions on which one of these I should get? This is going on a SCAR H.

Silencership emailed me that they got in the 7.62 Socom mini can I was looking for. 5 months after they expected it in. Glad I spent an extra $50 and went with someone else 4 months ago.

Where would one acquire one of these? I can't find it on their website.

I got mine for $2600 before the frenzy. I got 9 mags for $35 a piece as well.

I have the NF unimount on my 17 and it didn't work well until I got the GG&G charging handle. Before then I've had many bloody knuckles from trying to charge it during drills While the 20 moa base is nice, I'm about to change to a Larue mount. I WANT the QD because of the type of rifle it is.
