    Promag stock for M14

Hi, I have a ArchAngel stock on my polytech. Mine just "WORKS". I have beat the heck out of this stock and love it. Accuracy is better than the Gi fiberglass stock I had (GI stock cracked during a trip in the hills....I didnt know that was possible) . I run the the trifecta of hated parts.1-...

stock options for my extremly moded Mosin

Re: stock options for my extremly moded Mosin I went with a A.Henderson L-96 style wood stock. I had to modify the adj.cheek riser to remove the bolt. I figured this will work till I can find a modern style Chassis system also.

    My modern mosin

Re: My modern mosin I dont have any way to slug the barrel. Range report would be very promising with surplus ammo and the fact that Iam getting over pneumonia so I couldnt breathe well. Groups were around 1 inch or a little better at 100yds with different surplus including czech silvertips...

Re: My modern mosin I got really lucky the barrel screwed right on and the extractor cut lined up nice. I just kept tightening it slightly and checking the headspace till it was exactly where I wanted it. Mine has the same notch across from the extractor groove. Iam not real sure what it is...

    My modern mosin

Re: My modern mosin Tallshot, I got the barrel over a year ago from classic arms, but they have been sold out for months now. Mcgowan barrels makes a blank chambered in 7.62x54r, but I dont know if they can thread it for a mosin. The other option is a Teludyne straight jacket some people have...

Help deciding on a capable budget shooter

Re: Help deciding on a capable budget shooter Since you already have a mosin you could go to Rock Solid and get the scope mount, bolt handle, bedding pillars. Go with a lowell design stock or richards micro-fit and pillar bed and acraglass it. I have had good success with a cut down 22inch...

    My modern mosin

Re: My modern mosin the bore is .311. The barrel is from a russian heavy machine gun. Mine seems to prefer 176 and higher grain surplus ammo.

    My modern mosin

Re: My modern mosin Thanks, I did all the work. I bought a set of head space gauges and went to work. The stock was around 180$ I think. I saw Mcgowan barrels has a 7.62x54r barrel on their website, so Iam planning another build using one of their barrels.

The new barrel is a uk59 machine gun barrel, which screwed right on and timed perfectly . The scope mount is a Rock Solid along with the bolt handle. The stock is a new A. Henderson...
