I have hunted with a hot camber all my life. Never had an ND. Probably because of the marine who trained me at six years old taught me Weapons discipline in black and white no excuses. Hey cofox, looks like you are well on your way. I would recommend looking for a reloading class at a local gun shop. I have gone to a couple over the years. Bore patches absolutely will not come out clean :-(
I used hoppes 9 for years. I just started using a new solvent that works great, bore tech. They make a copper solvent and a carbon solvent i suggest getting both.
