Ok, if i have a marlin xl7 action and lets just say it has the same excact screw lengths apart. But its inletting isnt right for the marlin... So if i bedded it would it fit? Since when you bed the action it forms the shape of the action to the stock? Would this work? Like a stock is inletted...

Well, i bucked up and bought a Marlin xl7 in .270 Win. So far im pretty impressed with the gun! The bolt is just as smooth as my old Howa 1500. The stock is pretty stiff! The trigger on the Marlin XL7 is 20x better than my Howa's was! It came stock and its about 3-4 pounds and very smooth...

My dad has a 257weatherby mag, and it has a 22 inch barrel (he had it cut....). At 100 yards it holds a consisant group of about an 1-1 1/2 inch that is 1 inch high at 100. But at 200 yards, its about 4-6 inches low? (there about 3 inch groups) Whats the problem?
