Not perfect by any means but I like it. I just got done installing the C stock that I got from CMP. It came with a poorly fitted non original scant stock that looked like crap.
1910 M96 Swedish Mauser. First 5 rounds for me out of this rifle firing PPU 139 gr SP BT went into just over 2.5" at 100 yds. The rest (5 more 5 shot groups) were all under 2".
Winchester Model 69a just as it came off the rack at Cabela's . Some surface rust and dings and dents in the stock but the bore and chamber are nice, the trigger wasn't as bad as I was afraid it might be. I put 10 rounds through it just to hear it go bang and to the rifles credit it...
I have decided I need an AR15. I was looking at a Windham Weaponry rifle. I like the idea of them being made here in Maine. I was wondering what the general consensus was on the company, their products and their service. Thanks for your time.
“Slowly but surely the male citizenry is becoming emasculated to the point of utter helplessness. Sliding along, content in their weakness, glorying in their inability to do things. Proud of the fact that they’ve never been taught to use their hands.-and blind also to the fact that they know...
...and a bit hard to find about the best manual on basic rifle handling and shooting in general and the No.4 Enfield in particular I've seen. Well worth the search. It was used by the Canadian military to help train their firearms instructors. The full title "Shoot to Live" Presenting the...
I need a backpack and have narrowed the choice down to these three. Spec Ops T.H.E. Pack 5.11 Tactical Rush72 Eberlestock X-4 I would greatly appreciate any thoughts on these. Thanks for your time.
Hello I read in another post that you beded your No.4t clone with epoxy at the action. Just to clear this up for me. Is the barrel free floated the whole length? I am going to bed my Long Branch no.4 with epoxy and was thinking about free flouting the barrel the full length except for at the...
I would like to replace the two piece aluminum bottom metal on my Model 70 long action with a steal version. Is there such a thing available? Thanks for your time.
I posted pictures a while ago. This just brings it together. http://bobsstuffandnonsense.blogspot.com/2011/06/my-ongoing-project-1941-long-branch-no.html I add stuff here as I change things on the rifle.
This time it's a 1941 Long Branch built at the Long Branch Arsenal near Toronto Canada. when I first got it it looked like this. Bubba had a little fun but mercifully he left the metal pretty much intact. After a lot of scrounging online and some elbow grease it turned out like this. It still...
My old tumbler finally gave up after years of slow but faithful service. What should I replace it with? I would like to keep it as close to $100.00 as possible. I probably average about 100-200 rounds a month so I don't need something real big.
I have a SPS Varmint in .308 with a Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x50. I am putting a 20 moa base on it. I have read that the scope will be about bottomed out if sighted in at 100 yds.. Will I run into problems down the road with the scope adjusted close to the limit for long periods of time? Thanks...
