10 years ago, 2015 SHC gun.

It would be very “new barrel the week of, MV off the Hornady box, and run with it” Drake style…..

10 years ago, 2015 SHC gun.

I had the same debate. I actually want to shoot my AWSM in 300WM with a huge can Stan The Man style, but I don’t have data on that gun in 300WM yet. I think it would be frustrating. Also thought about fixed 10x, 308 top-loader for old times sake.

    Vector X bino harness

I have 12x and the medium Marsupial gear non magnetic (new model) and they fit fine. With the ARCA adapter on the right barrel it gets a little tight, but manageable. Without it they fit easily.

Suppressors Baffle erosion DT vs brake

I have never worried on bolt guns, but I can speak to the benefits of a “sacrificial” break on hard use SBRs. My original work gun was a 10” 556 and I ran an AAC can at the time. Speaking with their guys at SHOT they recommended running their break instead of flash hider or direct thread options...

    Factory subsonic 65cm ammo?

I haven’t used the 6.5CM subs from Dallas, but I have used lots of their other subs. Chad puts a lot of work into his subsonic stuff and is a long time Hide and Rifle’s Only guy. If something is wrong, he’s a stand up guy. He is a small shop though so give him some time. Doc

    Any original members here?

Aug 2004 for me. The pic from the RO tower has some good folks in it…..several who have sadly passed on. Gottfredson most recently. Those were good times. Lindy is still teaching at RO, but doesn’t come on here anymore. He’s still a walking weather meter and ballistic computer. His taste in...

    Secret Service “JAR” rifle

I‘m glad you said that. I was sitting here thinking I was going crazy not seeing Bill Walter in that pic. I used to shoot with him at the MS state matches when he brought the FL Air Force folks out. Hell of a guy and a hard holder. He helped me get started in SR and I credit my Master card to...
