Re: M14 ROGUE chassis system Who is using these in Afghanistan? I am about to head back over and if these are available to regular Army folk through the REF program or something similar it would be nice to be able get my hands on one for a while.

Re: Current US Army rifle qual?? Like said above 40 rounds from 50 to 300 meters, 20 from prone/foxhole supported, 20 from prone unsupported, 2 min each. I have seen it done with the second set split up 10 prone unsupported and 10 kneeling with 1 min each.
Re: High End stuff I have used the Tactical Tailor 3 Day Plus Assault pack and Malice Pack, as well as London Bridge and Eberlestock in Afghanistan. You can't go wrong with any of those.
Re: Scope for a M1A I am working on the same thing for my new M1A. All I know is that I shot a Leupold VX II 3-9 till it wouldn't adjust for elevation anymore when I was a DSM.
Re: groin protector / nut slapper In 2 1/2 deployments I have never worked with anyone who wore it at all, I personally never wore any of the extra crap.

Re: New gun to test/ Budget centerfire rifle! It may not look pretty but I have seen lots of guys over here in Afghanistan use 100MPH tape to attach cheak pieces to their M14s.
Re: Manners stock and Chassis question You will have to buy a seperate set of bottom metal from a manufacturer (sucha as Badger, Seekins for 2)that will alow you to use dteachable mags. The Chassis will allow you to do this as well as give you a bedding block for your action.
Re: Boots for Astan I had a pair of Garmont hiking boots my last deployment to Afghanistan and they were great, so I bought the T8s and I'm not impressed. I did some ruck marching with the T8s before I came back over here and they didn't mess my feet up but I went back to my issued Altimas...
