I prefer the Hawkins hunter DBM. Run their flush fit mags or AICS style mags. No probs with the MDT Precision DBM except the price. For a hunting rifle, especially for night stuff, the mag latch release inside the trigger guard on the Hawkins Hunter DBM is a nice design. They don't catch on...- EXSOCAL

^^^ This.... If you load 6.5 CM you already have everything, just buy a new bushing, no need to buy new "stuff." I'm excited to see what new bullets are released in the future. My trued data on the .25 135 berger has it at a .348 G7 per my kestrel, verified drops to 1660 and these fly at 2885 out of a 26" Bartlein. In load dev, I had these as high as 2950 with no pressure. Anyone using MDT metal mags with Hawkins Hunter BM
Quick update, I was completely wrong in my first post. I grabbed a rifle off the shelf with the short action Hawkins Hunter DBM and short action AICS (MDT) mags fit up and locked in perfectly. Looking back I have no clue which one we were messing with that we couldn’t get an AICS mag to fit…...- EXSOCAL

Hmmmm... I'll have to mess with it again tomorrow. I just had a rifle in the shop with the Hawkins hunter DBM and the short action MDT mag we had wouldn't fit. I'll grab a DBM off the shelf and check it again.- EXSOCAL
