Where do you order ammo from? I've checked a few places that I've gotten scopes, etc. from but shipping on a few boxes of ammo (still searching for that magic load) is twice what the ammo costs! Or should I give up and join the sportsmans guide buyers club for the free shipping?

Fun match this coming weekend at the public range in teh Osceola National Forrest. Course of fire will be dum-dum lolipops at 25 and 50 yards, with more interesting stuff if a tie breaker is needed. Cost is $5, shooting starts at 9am. Bring a kid, they get to shoot larger targets ...

Sent kid #1 to grandmas, kid #2 stayed home with mommy to make cookies (yum - oatmeal with cranberries, raisins, chocolate and walnuts), and went to the range. Started at 25 yards wtih my Savage Mk II BTV in 22lr to try some new ammo, and confirm zero wtih what I had been shooting. New ammo...

Any other fans of the Right Arm of the Free World here? Mines just a Century, but it runs great and is fairly accurate... certainly makes the AR shooters jealous at the range.
