    Duracoat ?

Re: Duracoat ? The duracoat will be cured enough to assemble and use the weapon in 24 hours but to fully cure it takes 3 months so they don't recommend heavy use until then I have assembled my rifles 6 hours after coming out of the oven and have gone out shooting after 24 hours without any...

    Duracoat ?

Re: Duracoat ? I've used both cerakote and duracoat. On a remington 700 it is ok to put them on the bolt raceway without a problem. I have also put it inside the receiver on other custom actions (McMillan, stiller) you just have to put some oil on it for a bit until it works in. I never put...

    McMillan TAC-308 bolt stick

Re: McMillan TAC-308 bolt stick Take the bolt and mag out and get some alcohol on a cleaning patch and clean the bolt way. The build up of cerakote and dirt makes them bind up after paint. After cleaning the bolt way put some gun oil on the bolt body and slide it back and forward in the...

    Rifle Scopes Night Force Power

Re: Night Force Power I had a 12-42 nxs a while back and when I was at 42x at 100 yards the target was always blurry. I'm not sure about the br model nightforces they might but I have never messed with one I'd recommend a leupold comp for what your looking for as they will focus at close range.

    McMillan McHale for FN-SPR

Re: McMillan McHale for FN-SPR I have a rem 700 that I made a single shot and put that stock on and it's very comfortable. My only complaint is an adjustable cheek peice would be nice. I take that rifle prairie dog hunting and lay prone for a while and had to build it up.

Range Report AR500 Steel targets Longevity?

Re: AR500 Steel targets Longevity? osuarchitect I meant no disrespect to you by that post. I was just trying to explain to the guy that I got the targets from a reputable person. I know that speed will destroy targets and i am not unhappy with your product at all. You make a great product. I...

Range Report AR500 Steel targets Longevity?

Re: AR500 Steel targets Longevity? I made my stands from 1" 14ga square tubing and the targets all just hang from thick chains. My chains have been shot several times and they have a few nicks but they still work fine. Make sure the targets can swing when hit that will increase the life of...

Range Report AR500 Steel targets Longevity?

Re: AR500 Steel targets Longevity? This target has never been shot inside 200 yds. It is 3/8 ar500 from big dog steel. The craters are from 22-250 superformance 50 gr ammo at 250 yds. This target is mainly 300 yds and out and it's starting to look like the moon with all the little...

Range Report AR500 Steel targets Longevity?

Re: AR500 Steel targets Longevity? From my experience with ar500 steel you will not have to replace those targets for a very long time. The only damage ever done to mine is from hitting the edge it does nick them, I have a few different manufacturers targets and it doesn't seem to mater how...
