Sounds like it was a great match! I'm hoping to get to shoot it next year. Any word yet on who won the rifle? I'm guessing not me, but thought I'd check!
Re: Mullerworks Barrels? I've got one chambered in 260, 8.5 twist. It's been sub MOA out to 1100 yards and it cleans up easily with very little copper fouling. So ya, I would recommend them!
Re: Post your Southern Precision Rifle Build Pics Just got my barreled action today and dropped it into a stock to see how it all looked. Will be mounting a Leupold Mk4 6.5-20x50 FFP TMR with M5 knobs on it and having the metal cerakoted in sniper grey. Chambered in 260Rem with a Muellerworks...

Re: Having some problems with my Alpha Mags... So Chris, Tom, what's the verdict....do the alpha mags work with the mini chassis or not? I was going to order some for a T5A with mini chassis I have but after reading this I'm not sure?
Re: Savage target action build That's a nice looking rifle! What are the build specs if you don't mind sharing? Ya, I'm a fan of muzzle brakes. Ear pro is easy and I have yet to come up with a good reason for increased recoil.....
Re: Savage target action build The brake is more for being able to spot my own shots and to watch the show when the bullet finds its intended mark....rifle will be used for both target and varmint hunting. Maybe even the occasional deer or speed goat hunt.
Re: Savage target action build No secret, that was the price I got off their website after I used the stock builder. Check their site under stocks ready to ship, you can get one for $674.50 if you're lucky enough to find one that has what you're looking for. I added an atlas rail and sling...
