    New Sage EBR Scout

Re: New Sage EBR Scout To answer two questions: No the Sage stock does not support a rear lugged receiver. If your cylinder has been unitized, you will need a new one as part of the process to put your rifle into a Sage stock is to remove the front band.

    rear lug LRB m1a recieivers?

Re: rear lug LRB m1a recieivers? Sage Stocks DO NOT work with rear lugged receivers. With the way the stock is designed there is no advantage in having a real lug.

    ammo question for a m14/m1a

Re: ammo question for a m14/m1a FGMM is all I run in my 3 EBR clones. It is pretty much the same as M118LR which is the preferred ammo for the M14EBR-RI. The main difference is that the FGMM seems to chrono a little more consistantly.

    M1A stringing

Re: M1A stringing How tight was your gas lock when you installed it? Do you have a crush washer or shims? Too tight of a gas lock will cause what you are having.

M1A Loaded EBR over the reciever rail conundrom

Re: M1A Loaded EBR over the reciever rail conundrom For my money the Sage DCSB is the best choice on the EBR Chassis. We (The Army) have used 6200 so far that went into combat with zero complaints. I had the Arms 18 on one of my guns and finally took it off and threw it in the trash can. Your...

    M1A/M14/EBR Rifle discussion W/O DRAMA.

Re: M1A/M14/EBR Rifle discussion W/O DRAMA. Having fired over 30k rounds of M118LR through the 5000 M14EBR-RIs that we have built so far and I can say that there are no problems shooting it in Army guns. I have fired it in both of my own guns one of which is a SAI and the other is a Fulton.

    New M1A troubles

Re: New M1A troubles While you had the mount off, you should have been able to see where the brass was hitting the mount. I had a problem like this on an old school build I did with an ARMS 18. Seems the brass was hitting the nuts on the scope rings. I reversed them with the nuts on the left...

    Official M14/EBR Discussion Thread

Re: Official M14/EBR Discussion Thread The missing Leupold medallian can be attributed to the Soldiers removing anything that is not cammo. The medallians are just stick ons that sometimes come off on their own. I can assure you that they are real Leupold scopes purchased under contract from...

Marksmen issued better M14 rifles in Afghanistan

Re: Marksmen issued better rifles in Afghanistan As we RESET the rifles that return from Theatre, we will add Pelican Cases and Eagle Drag Bags to the package. That will give us a secure way to ship the rifles to the troops and they will be able to stow the hard cases in their arms room or...

Marksmen issued better M14 rifles in Afghanistan

Re: Marksmen issued better rifles in Afghanistan I don't recall anywhere in this thread that anyone said that the M14 would out-shoot a bolt gun. This is simply not the case and the reason we have the M24 and now the XM2010 and are working the requirments for the PSR, all bolt guns. Bolt guns...

Marksmen issued better M14 rifles in Afghanistan

Re: Marksmen issued better rifles in Afghanistan The EBR that was shot at Perry was not an issue rifle, it was a full match rifle built with a medium heavy SEI barrel, gas system and all the match mods and tweeks. The ammo was standard M118LR Lake City issue.

Marksmen issued better M14 rifles in Afghanistan

Re: Marksmen issued better rifles in Afghanistan The EBR at Camp Perry shot a 184 out of 200 on its firt outing in the 1000 yd scope match. It was only the second time the shooter had fired the weapon and reviews so far from the USAR rifle team have been very favorable. I just wanted to...
