    Eliseo Chassis

I have one and like it alot. All the adjustments you could ever want, a very confortable chassis. Also check out Eliseo's bi-pod its just super slick. Glad I went with it and probably best of all Mark Gordon plumbed the whole thing. He knows his way around these things.

    Browning BAR semi auto version

Anyone have experience with the civilian version of the BAR. I recently acquired a 7mm Rem. Mag. I've heard these can be a real bear to load for something about the need for extra small base sizing die and other things not normally expected with a bolt gun. looking for some help before I start...

Any real benefits to 6mm SLR?

Re: Any real benefits to 6mm SLR? I ended up going with the 6SLR my reasoning was the 30 degree shoulder and the longer neck. I can load the 115's out to 2.9+ in the Arctic mags. I just ran a bunch of brass (243) through a Fl sizer die and its ready to go. Now if Mark @ Short Action Customs...

Re: Hornaday 6.5 match 140grain BTHP Thanks for the info. I've got my come ups out to 670 yards so I should be able to compare. I'll start a little low and bring it up to my present loading and if all goes well I'll try the side by side comparison. Thanks again Kennysong

    Hornaday 6.5 match 140grain BTHP

Anyone tried them yet? My son gave me some for father's day. I've been very happy with the 140 Amax's out of my 260 Rem. Just looking for some insight from people who have tried them.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Browning Hi-Power: First, probably not last.

Re: Browning Hi-Power: First, probably not last. When you get to the point that the trigger needs some work contact Don Williams @ Action Works. I had him do a 40 cal.MKIII for me a few years back with the mag safety it breaks at 4 lbs but feels lighter. He offers a lot of services for the...

    Eley ammo in Volquartson

Re: Eley ammo in Volquartson I just checked my stash of Eley. The sport appears to be a harder coating than the Tenex. While the Eley Sport groups ok out of my Volquartson, the Russian stuff seems to be best of all in mine. The Wolf Match Extra has the extra greasy stuff on the bullets.

what rings for vortex on a cz 455?

Re: what rings for vortex on a cz 455? I think you'd be fine with that setup. One word of caution put some lead shot in the fastner holes of the adapter they will keep the set screws from nicking up the factory dovetail. I did this to mine and it worked great. I think it was a # 7-1/2 shot...

    Gunsmithing Rifle coating options

Re: Rifle coating options +1 0n the Black Chrome. I had a Winchester Model 12 done many years ago by Marker Machine Comp. in Ill. Received many compliments on it over the years and it has held up very well. Hand sweat would just play havoc on a normal blue job over the course of a 200 bird...

    Barnes bullets

I have been gathering the things I will need for a 260 Rem project. Just wondering if anyone has had success using Barnes bullets in the 6.5 It seems the Amax,Lapua,SMK's and Berger's get all the press. Are the Barnes just not capable of the kind of accuracy you guys look for? Kenny

    Gunsmithing Ruger 77 action

First timer here, I've been thinking of having a Ruger 77 short action rebarreled to a 6.5X47 Lapua. Are these actions up to the job or should I just move on to something else. I've used the search function and didn't see much relating to this action. Thanks for any insight you can offer.
