I have a brake on my 300 win mag but I'm not to happy with it. Lots of barrel hop and didn't reduce recoil all that much. It is a generic that a gunsmith made locally. Anyway what type of brake are you guys running or your prefrences on one?

Re: Doing a primer switch? The cci I was using were large primers and switching to magnums. I didn't put that in my original post. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm switching from large cci primers to magnum 215. It's for a 300 win mag and I was wondering how far back I should back my load off when doing so? I'm running 208 with .010 jump and 76.8 of h1000. Should I just do a quick load development with them and start over? Thanks for your advice.

Went to the range yesterday and got dope out to 600 yards. On my 100 yard zero I was shooting 1 moa then moved to to 200 and it was a .75 moa and pretty much stayed that way through to 600 yards. Is 100 to close for the magnum? Also at 400 yards my group was 3.5 inches and 500 yards it was 4...

Re: Shooting with contacts What type of lenses are you using? The reason I ask is cause the oasis brand for me did the same thing and never got used to them. So I went back and stuck to old reliable accuvue 2.

Re: New Gen 4 IOR Scope ruggedness I've had mine on a .300 wm for over 300 rounds. Maintains zero, good clicks and the reticle is nice. For the money it's worth it. Unless the super sniper proves great than that might be the way to go for the 1000-1500 range scope.
