recently aquired an Stag Ar-15 chambered in a 6.8. due the the round being scarce in west texas and costly, I was wondering can I change the barrel to a .223? If so is the barrel all that would need to be swapped or does the bolt also need to be changed??

I am preparing to duracoat my rifle and have conflicting research from google... I need to know what metal prep has worked well. Do I have to parkerize first, or will the duracoat stick to a blasted/sanded surface as long as it is degreased? Any help from someone who has already done this...

Wanting to know if anyone has had experience using these as hunting rounds at closer ranges 100-300 yrds? I know they are designed primmarily as long range but how are they at the closer ranges? I have been using 200gr nosler with very good luck from 100-500 on deer.
