Is there a difference in line thickness compared to the newer H-59? Does anyone know? I have read from various posts that the nightforce version of the Horus was poorly executed. What that means is unclear to me. I would appreciate anyone that has knowledge of this reticle in the F-1 to respond.
Larue scope mount repeatability, really?? - AR15.COM I thought this might be of some interest to those wondering about LT mounts for a precision rig. This test shows that the mount is at least as repeatable as qd mounts that cost twice as much. What I am still unsure about is whether it...
I have narrowed down to NF 1-4 or the accupoint 1-4. NF is appealing because of ruggedness. Trijicon is appealing because of battery-less design. Anyone with first hand knowledge please weigh in. Thanks J
I have looked around a bit and not found alot on the different reticles. Which one is best for holdovers if you have to shoot out to 500m or so every now and then? Also I didnt see info on battery life. Thanks, J
My buddy is loading some subsonic lehighs for his blackout and loaded them too long. Is it ok to push them down slightly even though they have been taper crimped?
My buddy is interested in long range shooting. He purchased a SWFA SS 3-5x42 scope and wanted to see whether he could use his enfield as a starter rifle. Here is a pic: The question is how to mount the new scope. From the pics it appears to have a rail that the original rings are...
Ok, I'm getting close to buying one of these. I have a few questions for those of you with first hand experience. First, the barrel is a 1:10 twist. I committed a long time ago to run smk 175's, and all my experience in 308 is with 1:11.25 twist. Does anyone run 175 smk in their JP and is...
I am loading .223 for a buddy of mine who bought some 75 grain OTM bullets from Wideners. I started loading these things and noticed about 200 bullets in that the OAL would vary from 2.25 to 2.26 and on some even approaching 2.27. I do recognize that OTM bullets will vary because of the nature...
I heard that surefire had changed their baffles which decreased further the amount of backpressure. Any truth to this?? My obr will short-stroke each time while the gas block is set to 'supressed'. I'm running a 762SS on a 16" obr. It also shifted my poi about 4 inches down as well. No...
I am using LC brass, CCI primers, 150 grain hornady FMJ bulk bullets and Varget. It looks like 44 grains is a nice conservative place to start, so I will likely do that. My question is the cannelure on the bullet! If I load to the cannelure it will make the oal a hair longer than 3.71"...
Are there any other mounting solutions for A.I. dovetail receivers besides the Spuhr and the A.I. mount? For a 338LM it sure looks like there would be a better idea than to stick a metal screw into the mount that didn't truly fit into the recoil lug recess on the receiver. Just curious.... j
I was going to use lc brass, varget, 4895 or ramshot tac. Bullets are hornady 150 grain fmj. Looking to shoot out to 500 or so. I've never loaded anything besides smk 175's. While I do ha ve some books I was wondering if anyone has a good stable load for an ar10 style platform that works...
Just picked up a new 3-20 and was wondering if the windage turret should have the mtc feature as well? Don't really want it on either turret, but my windage appears to NOT have this feature. I was wondering if this is normal. J
