Re: Good cheap gun's to hide around the house I would second the recommendation for a revolver, but whatever gun you choose be sure to write down the serial numbers as you would not believe how many guns get stolen from a home or vehicle, and there is no way to trace them as the homeowner did...

I have two ARs that need scopes and wanted to see what would be recommended. The first one is a 7.62x39 AR with a 20" barrel and the second is a Beowulf 50 AR with a 16" barrel. Typically I do not shoot more than 600 yards. Am curious what would be your best recommendations? NF? USO? SB...
