    Early NX8 Issues?

The only explanation I can come up with is extreme sample variance. My experience basically mirrors Glassaholics. Trust me, no one could deal with my scope. Everyone that has used it hates it.

    Early NX8 Issues?

I have owned the NX8 4-32x50 F1 Mil-XT for several years. It is the most frustrating scope I have ever played with. I cannot get a clear sight picture no matter what I try to do with the adjustments/settings. It definitely has a shallow depth of field and poor edge to edge clarity but I could...

    Gotta love the craftsmanship.

    Good all around bench vise.

I really like the Wilton Bullet Vises. Mine is the 4 1/2” Machinist Vise. It has been discontinued but they still have the 4, 5, or 6 inch models. Prices have gone up considerably.

Pretty simple…….do the job they signed up for. If they aren’t “man enough” for the situation then step aside and allow someone who is.

    Good guys win one

There are so many examples of outright theft on a grand scale in this country and the “selective enforcement” that follows is so infuriating that it is impossible to put in word form. The theft of a goat (unless someone was relying on it to feed their family) barely even registers as crime in...

    Good guys win one

A lot of “what’s wrong with society” all in one story. A spoiled kid with no sense of reality, bad parenting, and overly aggressive law enforcement chasing the wrong targets. Zero wisdom shown by all parties involved.

    DeSantis or Trump

Tell me why the establishment is united in their hatred against Trump but DeSantis, mostly, gets a pass. When he gets the the same vitriolic hatred leveled at him I may start to pay attention. Am I the only one a little suspicious? Regardless………nobody is voting their way out of this mess.

Recommend some Steel Toe Work Boots

Thorogood wedge soles are extremely comfortable and break in relatively quickly. Redwing if you want a stiffer boot with a longer break in. Shorten the break in period by dipping the boots in warm water, wearing them dry, then applying your favorite leather conditioner.

    Which backup-handgun for hunting?

In that case I would go with the Glock but as for me personally would still go with the 20 😆 The gun needs to be lightish and handy or you will end up leaving it behind at times………in my experience.

    Which backup-handgun for hunting?

Glock 20 or Glock 40 if you can handle the extra length.

Yep, of course you’ll need a Sawstop Industrial table saw and a full set of Festool power tools as well. Their domino jointers are outstanding by the way.

The Lie Nielsen isn’t as stable as some but that is by design. It allows the user to easily create a micro radius if so desired. I haven’t tried the Veritas version.

The Lie Nielsen honing guide is very good followed by the one made by Richard Kell. DMT diamond plates are nice and convenient. If you don’t mind working with and maintaining water stones they are hard to beat.

Good advice but I could never part with the No 8 Jointer plane. Awesome for table and bench tops! Ray Iles makes a nice set of mortise chisels as well. Also, for hand saws it’s hard to beat any of the saws from Bad Axe. The only tools I’ve regretted buying from Lie Nielsen are their saws.

Would love to see your bench. When you start buying Lie Nielsen it’s hard to be satisfied with anything else.
