Last round in the mag POI shift?

I know this is an old thread but I'm actually here because I was curious of the same thing it also seems to happen with my bolt action rifle as well. My theory has always been because of the pressure difference pushing up on the bottom of the bolt or bolt carrier group from the round underneath...

    Gunsmithing Savage Bolt slop fix?

I know this is an old thread but I do love me some good old IMR 4350 I use it in my 25-06 all the time with great success

Savage 110 Tactical Barrel chatter marks

There we go I never thought about that. I polished the corners up thinking maybe it was just catching on the sharp edge and even though it helped a little bit it wasn't a huge difference and I never thought about going this route because I don't think it'll take many layers to fix the issue so...

Savage 110 Tactical Barrel chatter marks

I totally get it there are several guns especially kimber's and Henry's that I like to crap talk not that they're bad guns just the owners are typically snobby and anything else is absolute garbage to them LOL so anytime I get a chance I crap talk them. All in good fun though

Savage 110 Tactical Barrel chatter marks

LOL yes I've come to realize this too don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with being a snob about your firearms because I do personally enjoy a lot of Precision Instruments I'm especially picky with my triggers and my accuracy if I have a rifle that can't shoot less than one inch at 100...

Savage 110 Tactical Barrel chatter marks

Lol she is beautiful. I've been really lazy as of late I honestly need to get back into reloading because this thing really likes the Precision hunter from Hornady and it also really likes the m118 LR from Winchester but I feel like if I hand load for it I can increase that consistency quite a bit.

Savage 110 Tactical Barrel chatter marks

I will say I do like a good 700 action but my favorite action that I have is actually on a 25-06 that I built many years ago using a hart Barrel and Winchester model 70 action

We shall call it horizontal internal flute technology

Savage 110 Tactical Barrel chatter marks

Keep in mind that the group pictured above isn't a group that I shoot every single time that is a group that maybe I get three out of every 10 groups I shoot but it does consistently keep it about an inch

Savage 110 Tactical Barrel chatter marks

I sold guns for years and I found their customer service to be good and the only rifle I ever had to send back in out of the mini we sold was my personal rifle because I was concerned about the barrel LOL. Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to say they're just as good as the other guns because I...

Savage 110 Tactical Barrel chatter marks

I would like to add that the gun really seems to like the Winchester m118lr and also the Hornady Precision Hunter

Savage 110 Tactical Barrel chatter marks

I purchased a Savage 110 Tactical chambered in 308 little over a year and a half ago and I have never seen a worse Barrel in my life. Looks like train tracks running through the bore. deep and consistent pretty much from chamber to muzzle. I don't know what kind of voodoo Savage does with...

Loctite 620 and my silencerco muzzle brake

I went ahead and ordered myself a bottle of rocksett and another shim kit just so I have all bases covered

Gunsmithing DO NOT USE VIBRATITE HOT LOCK

Sorry I know it's been a while and I haven't got back to you but I just wanted to let you know that I did contact LaRue and they told me it was Loctite 620 although I purchased a rock set just because it can withstand the higher temperatures

Loctite 620 and my silencerco muzzle brake

The shims were large enough that there were portions of it sticking out and I couldn't move them so I felt like they were probably making contact and being squished however I overthink things a lot and in my head I was also thinking since that 620 cured so quickly that it was possible that they...

Loctite 620 and my silencerco muzzle brake

Lol me or holliday. And is mental masturbation a compliment or an insult forgive me I've never heard the term. Also just to clarify if it was meant as an insult I'm sure it was meant as friendly banter which is how I would take itlol

Loctite 620 and my silencerco muzzle brake

The odd thing is when I was installing it and it started to cure within 20 seconds to the point it was extremely difficult to get on and it locked up before I technically even got it to meet perfectly flush with the 90° shoulder of the barrel but yesterday when I redid it 20 minutes later I...

Loctite 620 and my silencerco muzzle brake

My apologies I meant to get back with you gentlemen today I started off using a heat gun and then I decided the hell with it and use the torch and the muzzle device came off just like you said it would with ease it was like nothing was even on it. Then I reinstalled one of my muzzle brakes with...

Loctite 620 and my silencerco muzzle brake

Thank you very much everyone this is the conclusion that I came to as well it's a brand new suppressor and I am terrified to take the chance on messing it up so tomorrow I am going to order a alignment rod because I'd rather be safe than sorry I mean I'd rather spend a $25 to $35 on a rod and...

Loctite 620 and my silencerco muzzle brake

I feel like a fool it was recommended from LaRue Tactical use 620 on the LaRue Tactical stealth Barrel threads for my suppressor muzzle brake from silencerco. I got it shimmed up to where I thought it should be and allowed a little bit of room for torque so I applied the 620 compound threaded...
