    Re: Spinning .40 cal bullet on ice Someone check my math but.... 40 S&w twist rate = 1 turn in 16 inches velocity = 1,050 (round down to 1,000 fps or 60,000 fpm) In 60,000 feet of travel (1 min) a .40 will revolve 3,750 times. or 62 revolutions per second. Does that look like 3,700 rpm?
