    Gunsmithing Release Agent for bedding

    RustGuardit is the best stuff that I have used. Spray it on liberally from all angles and let it dry for about 20 min. Nothing will stick to it. Very clean lines compared to messy paste wax. I will never use paste wax again as long as I can get the spray.

    Re: Can a bullet be overstabilized?? When a bullet has more rotation than is necessary to stabilize it, any imperfections in the bullet will be magnified. Kinda like an out of balance tire.

    Re: Modified case will not work If you still have a couple of inches of the cut off barrel, run the reamer in it up to the shoulder. You will then have a duplicate of your chamber to use as a comparator. It works great until you get some throat erosion.

    loads for .25-06?

    Re: loads for .25-06? I have three 25-06's. They all shoot better with 100gr. bullets than the heavier ones. I have had very good luck with the 100gr. NBT's on deer. I have killed quite a few with that bullet, including one that weighed 193 pounds. No problem with the bullet holding up...
