The locking turrets in theory make sense, at least on the windage turret. I don't think I will ever lock my elevation turret. In practice they are not very intuitive or user friendly. Have to agree with this. I find Vortex to be waaaaay overhyped anyways though. Hopefully I will get mine out tomorrow and get some through the scope pics. The weather in Northern CO has been absolute crap lately.

Not surprising. The 4-16x42 ATACR is *probably* the best optic NF makes and the only optic I have ever been impressed with from them.
