My Sinclair handheld primer seater works awesome. I can seat primers way faster than when using a bench mounted model. And you can really feel the force needed to seat the primers. If its tight, loose, etc. I wouldn't prime any other way for a bolt gun.
its variation in your bullet jackets. I seat bullets using Wilson Inline Seater dies with VLD stems in them. With an arbor press. And I get 0.002-.005 variation between lots of Berger VLDs all the time. It will drive you absolutely nuts trying to be consistent with a Micrometer seater...
$140 gets me $70,000 worth of coverage through my homeowners insurance company. Plus you get a nominal amount with your NRA membership. Liberty Mutual has saved me a shit ton on insurance, and also gave me much better coverage. FWIW
20g for sure. the 12 just does way too much damage to them. especially if you have good dogs. If the dogs do their job, shots won't be far. and the 20g has plenty to knock em down.
No experience with the Surefire….but I an tell you that on my 300 winmag, the Specwar suppresses it well enough that I don't need ear plugs. People shooting around me can't believe that I'm shooting a magnum. And on my 6.5x47…its just stupid quiet
The class is Nov 9, and it is being taught by guys from ATG in Ohio. I believe they are all current, former, or reserve SF. I know our main instructor is a SEAL with 17yrs in. He is the owner of ATG, and a friend of a buddy of mine who set up the course. Its a private course…being put on for...
you could go with a Maxpedition Sabrecat with shoulder straps. Way cheaper than Kifaru, and it may fit your bill. Sabrecat with Shoulder Straps (pic heavy)
Does anybody run a suppressor on a 16in upper? Im debating on weather or not to go through the hassle of getting an SBR. Would mounting my Specwar 7.62 on a 16in upper be awkward to maneuver?
Mine does mount solid on my 6.5x47. Groups under 1/2 moa with and w/o the Specwar. But with it on I got that shift in POI. A 3 in shift left, and 3in shift high I would consider to be significant at 100yds. My Specwar has a noticeably off center bore. Here is a link to a post I started...
Has anybody noticed a large shift in POI with their Specwar 7.62 on vs off? On a bolt gun? With the can on, my POI shifted up and to the left by 1 mil in each plane.
Something that I have learned humping my bolt rifles through the mountains is that a heavy gun sucks. I would make a list of the scenarios that you intend to use the gun for, and choose the minimum rail length to get the job done. I would try to keep the weight to a minimum. Personally, I...
[/URL] This is what I have to work with for my first carbine course. A Preban Bushmaster XM15-E2S CAR15. I put in a BCM buffer tube, heavier spring and plug, some MagPul furniture, and a sling attachment point where the buffer tube meets the lower. I know it is not ideal, but it is what I have...
How can you tell if a lower receiver is out of "mil" spec? I have two Bushmaster lowers that I would like to register as SBR's, but have heard that Bushys have a reputation of being "out of spec". I have used both of these lowers on 3 different uppers without any problems fitting them together...
