For sale is 2 lots of once fired 338 Lapua brass. All of this brass is from Superior factory loaded ammo and was shot through the same rifle. Lots are as follows. 37- Lapua. $74 plus $10 shipping. $84 total. 74- Hornady. $111 plus $10 shipping. $121 total. If one buyer buys both lots I will...
Pull the bolt out and look at the back side of the lugs and you should see shiny wear spots indicating contact on both sides. If only one side has wear this is where your problem is. Common for factory 700's but easily fixed by gunsmith.
As long as they are slippery I am sure they are fine. Did you wash them before coating them? I wash and then heat them and then put them in tumbler. I use hbn on all of my high velocity cartridges 3200-4000 fps with great success.
The windage is right also. Should be around 13.8 mils. Can you post a pic of your setup? I don't think it is your scope but is an issue with the base and or rings.
100 MOA of elevation travel total on the MK 6 which is about right for what you are seeing. 100/3.6 = 27.77 Sounds like your base is not 20 moa. I have the M5B2 and the M5C2 and have no problems.
A couple questions about Lapua Scenars. 1. Who has shot the new Scenar-L and how do they shoot? 2. Can these - Scenars be used for hunting? Thinking about using the 136 in my 6.5 Creedmoor.
If built right these are very capable of being 1/2 moa rifles. My 243 Win w/ shilen heavy bbl is a tack driver. Remember that a Winchester model 70 and a Kimber 8400 are both basically mauser actions.
Don't compare a Nightforce to a MK4, its not a fair comparison. I have a NF 5.5-22x50 on my 338L and it is big and bulky but is built like a tank. I also have a MK8 1.1-8 and 2 MK6 3-18's. I put the first MK6 on my 6.5-47L and like it so much that I put the newer MK6 w/ M5C2 turrets on my GAP NT...
