Thanks for the report. I was considering getting one of these for my 7x57 shooting 168 gr VLDs. I have the 4.5 - 14 Rapid Z 800 on my 300 Win Mag & its a great setup.

I have the Rapid Z 800 on my 300 Win Mag. Shooting 180 gr Hornadays. Ringing plates dead on out to 500 yds. Haven't shot past that distance yet.

How much ro they weigh? !80 lbs?

Nice hog! I just got back in from the Mineola area east of McKinney. Regs won't let us shoot a doe except for a couple of days during Thanksgiving & our hogs have been VERY scarce.....all nocturnal. Threw down some turnip seed....hope to catch them in it in a couple of months. relentless

I took off my scope from my flattop to make sure my carry handle irons were sighted in & I can't get enough right dialed in. The knob continues to turn but POI doesn't shift. This is all Colt, handle is only marked A6. Is there a top of the line handle that precision shooters prefer? Or is this...

I made that longggg ride back into the Thorofare. They have grizz back there but I was told if you shoot one, you'd better have claw marks on you. I saw what they can do to a camp. relentless

Nice write up LEID. I've always used the 77 gr Sierra in my 1/7. 24.7 grs RL15. I ordered some 70 grs TSX & they weren't easy to find. I intend to wring them out on hogs hopefully this weekend. Regards, relentless

My 223 has 1/7 & shoots Barnes #22470 Triple Shock 70 grs & no hogs have survived. Prolly not the best rig for everybody but works for me. relentless.

There is some prairie dog hunting to be had nearby. Check at Fred's Guns for ranchers who'll allow that. Feed stores would be a lead for that also. I went to school there at Texas Tech & violated many a dog town in those times. relentless

I am in favor of the Bowies, preferably by Bill Bagwell. None better IMO.
