    Fouler Shot

Is it safe to leave a bore uncleaned after a fouler shot (and for how long) to keep it ready for the next opportunity. I never know when I will see my next crow or yote and depending on the distance, 1/2 MOA can mean the diff. between a hit or miss on a crow. Of course I'm talking about non...

    Blackhawk cheekrest

Here's an idea for mounting a blackhawk cheekrest that makes it easy to remove for cleaning your stick and is more secure. I got the velcro straps at our local hobby shop. They are battery straps for a Losi RC truck. The big ones, comes 3 to a pack.

    Photos New Custom 700

Re: New Custom 700 Another scary thing is that I will need to come right .613MOA to zero windage and that is right where the scope was set(I moved it left .75MOA before I shot the ladder) when I got it back from Charley Robertson @ ScoreHigh. He used a machine he designed to mount the scope...

Re: New Custom 700 You guys beat me to the punch, I will be using 53.3gr. That 54gr load was 135GR SIERRA AND RL-15, just a curiosity thing I did before doing the ladder test with the 110GR Barnes and 10x. I'm planning on doing the same test with this bullet to get a better BC for longer...

Hand Loading for Long Range 4: Powderin' it

Re: Hand Loading for Long Range 4: Powderin' it I had some small doubts about my success in trying this, not because I didn't believe TresMon but rather my own ability's. This is my first test at 550yds. I'm impressed and can't wait to refine the load. 30-06, RL-10x from 50.5 to...

    Photos New Custom 700

Re: New Custom 700 I like it a lot. Had it on this 06 before all the work and once I figured out how to use it, it works like advertised. Just hold on proper reticle and pull out to 600yd. Thinking about upgrading the turrets to match my load once I get one dialed in. Very clear even at 25x.

    Lapua brass (HELP)

Re: Lapua brass I ran the FED brass through the same setup as the Lapua. I really thought I had a bad die or pilot. Both are just fine. Pilot fits snug inside both brands of brass. Not tight but touching. The size of the neck button brings the neck out to .3065 and the pilot is .306. Im...

Whats your favorite Powder for 45ACP?

Re: Whats your favorite Powder for 45ACP? For the Rainier 185gr I use 9.4gr N350 for 1170fps per Vit reload manual. I load 9.8 @ over 1200fps for carry with no signs of over pressure in a 1911A1 5". I also load 9.6gr for 185gr XTP's. Under 3" @25yds. Makes a great groundhog gitter. Always...

    Lapua brass (HELP)

I bought 100 rds of 30-06 lapua brass expecting great brass. I sized in a FL RCBS die, no trim needed, turned necks(RCBS turner with brand new pilot perfect fit ), checked flash-holes, weight sorted and started checking neck runout. I found about 10% under .005 and the rest were .006-.007 out...

    primer seating

I have some new brass and have to apply considerable force to seat the primers. They are at uniform depth and there is no apparent deformation that I can see with the naked eye. Will a slight deformation effect ignition to the point of effecting accuracy or is depth the most critical thing...
