Hey guys, I have a black stock/blue steel TRG in .300 Win Mag. Factory muzzle brake. Probably less than 30 rounds shot (can verify) from load development and a little shooting. I never use the rifle like I intended to. What would be a fair asking price for the buyer and seller? I have a...
I have been think about cutting the barrel on my TRG 42 .300WM for a while now. Came across this article, and it pretty much convinced me to go ahead and do it. I am thinking about going to 22", but may split the difference and go to 21" <GRIN> http://www.tacticaloperations.com/SWATbarrel/
I want to order some plug screws from Brownells, but not sure about the size. Can someone tell me what size plug screws I need for a Savage rifle? Thanks.
Don't be shy, tell me if I have to remove my head from my arse. I have a .300 WM TRG that is not working out for long range hunting, despite the fact that a lot of my shooting is from tower stands. The rifle shoots lights out with my handloads, hence my apprehension to sell the rifle. I am...
I have a Sako TRG that needed a case. I have no use for a drag bag when hunting. After some serious searching, I found this web site: http://shoot-long.com/ I bought one of Brian's cases, and I am thrilled with it. Lots of thick padding, a great sturdy zipper and customer service is beyond...
I tried to search this, but no luck. I want to take my TRG stock off, but do not know what the recommended torque is when reinstalling the stock. Can someone help me with this? The gun shoots lights out, and I don't want to phuck that up. Thinking 65 inch lbs for all?
These bags have received good reviews, and are now in stock (50" only, 56" are still out). They are reasonably priced and should be a good deal if you do not want to spend $175.00 plus for a bag. Here is the link: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=939171584
What kind of shooting shelf did you fabricate for your tower stand to shoot deer at long distance? I am thinking about some kind of fold down shelf. Figure I may keep it folded up when getting in the stand and folding it down when I am set-up in my chair. Pictures are worth a thousand words.
I do not want a drag bag. Looking for a "standard" style padded soft case that I can fit my TRG 42 in. I have seen online where Crooked Creek Outfitters has scabbard type bag that may work. Looking for others. Thanks.
Is there a bipod removal knob available for a Harris bipod? Looking for an easier to use replacement knob that unhooks the bipod from the sling stud. Maybe something like a pod-lock, but used for bipod removal. Looking for a quick on, quick off solution. Thanks.
Bought one from SakoTRG FAN. He custom made it for me to the exact height (within .001") <GRIN> that I wanted. He does a great job following the contour of the cheek piece so there is no gap. These are less $$ than the factory spacers, and better! Prompt shipping and a good guy to deal with...
Well, after taking many months putting this rig together, I finally shot my TRG. It has a Near Mfg. Alpha scope mount, a factory Sako brake and a Zeiss Victory Diavari FL 4-16x50. I had to send a few things down the road (guns that were not used much, if at all) to pay for this thing, and didn't...
Killer Deal on Storm/Pelican or SKB cases at LL Bean through 2/22. $139.99 shipped! This is with foam. 30% off the regular price of $299.00 If you ever wanted one, jump now. I just ordered the Storm, which is the same as Pelican. Thank me later.
Guys, I found a good online price for these 2 cases. I am leaning toward the storm. Is the SKB any better? I have never handled either case, but was wondering if someone has experience with either. thanks.
Why did you do it, and what length did you go to? I am tempted to get my barrel cut for ease of handling as a beanfield rifle. This is despite me not using it during a hunting season yet. I hate when i get a bug up my ass to do something. I need someone to tell me to jump, or get the phuck...
This is <span style="text-decoration: underline">primarily</span> a beanfield hunting rig, that I will occasionally use for target shooting. Shots should be no longer than 700ish yards. I have narrowed down my scopes to these 2 (disregard reticles right now): Zeiss Diavari Victory FL T...
I have a TRG 42 in .300 Win Mag and want to try Berger hunting bullets. Any issues with the length of the Bergers? Are you able to kiss the lands? What is your favorite load? I am thinking about trying the 175's.
