    tikka t3 tacical 308

A friend of mine happened to visit the Sako factory in Riihimäki.Tikka barrels are made from the same steel as Sako barrels and exactly on the same CNC machines. Now, the selection process is simple- the best barrels go to TRG and Tikka Tactical. Tactical catches up with Sako TRG up to 600m.

    Sig 516 vs. Barrett REC7

Hi, the choice of AR-15 clones in the EU is not as wide as in the US therefore I would like to ask the guys familiar with those two rifles: is Barrett so vastly superior to Sig that it is worth the extra money?

Just wondering. What was he using back there in Iraq? I only read the rifle was chambered in 338 LM. Scope? Reticle? ballistic software?

    Haenel RS 8

I happened to handle today the new Haenel RS 8 . The finish and overall quality is impressive. It reminds me of Blaser lrs 2. However I did not have a chance to shoot it. What strikes me is the price- it is priced at the very same level as AI AE.

    CZ 750, SSG 04, or T3 sporter

Re: CZ 750, SSG 04, or T3 sporter I shot all 3 guns you mentioned. I would go with tikka sporter or buy a tikka varmint (as some proposed) and change the stock. Tikkas are made on the same CNC machines and from exactly the same steel as Sako. I spoke to people who have been to Rihimaki and...

What kind of accuracy could I expect from Steyr ?

Re: What kind of accuracy could I expect from Steyr ? e.g. ProHunter Heavy Barrel. Speak to Austrian hunters, you will find out more about some quality control issues at Steyr. They still manufacture nice rifles though. But- go to Wiener Neustadt, speak to some people, you will find out more...

    Anschutz 64 MP R

Re: Anschutz 64 MP R it's way to heavy. don't do this to yourself. btw, it's not suitable for hunting. I happened to handle several anschutzs and they all looked shitty. why not a CZ?

    223 at 300yrds- ammo.

Re: 223 at 300yrds- ammo. Well, I was maybe not 100% precise when saying that 300yrds can push 223 to its limit. What I meant was rather that at 300yrds it's more difficult to get similar tight groups as from 6.5s and thus harder to compete with those. To get to the top 10 in the local...

    223 at 300yrds- ammo.

I know it sounds ridiculous but I will give myself a try to compete at 300yrds distance using a rig in 223. Just to push the caliber to its limits. It won't be easy to compete with 260rem or 6.5creedmor but why not give it a try. Bearing this in mind and having a 1/9 twist, 20" barrel I am...

    223 min barrel length

Re: 223 min barrel length I read a German study on the relation between accuracy and barrel length. They were consecutively slicing the barrel by one cm and checked the impact on the accuracy every single time. in case of 223, they proved no adverse effect of barrel length reduction on...
