We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
You have a 338 and 4 more rifles currently being built and a Surgeon you have never shot? Sounds like a good problem to have. Can we be friends? You are going to need help giving all those rifles some attention.
I am curious as to what issues people have had with Surgeons and extracting? I have thousand's of rounds down mine and never had issues. I am not trying to start a flame war just curious. I happen to like the sloppy bolt. I have been down the road of tight tolerances and did not enjoy it. It...
Which scope in this mag range do you prefer over the S&B? I have used them all and too me I would not pick any of them over the S&B. I hope the Beast performs as good as I think it will after seeing it at Shot Show because I would like to save a little money on my next purchase in a couple of...
Well there is your problem. You are referencing something that is not going to happen. If S&B releases another ffp 5-25 with the same features, the current one will no longer be made. Of course I would expect to pay less for older tech. This is a silly argument. I would guess there is nothing...
We will see soon. The Beast does not tunnel. I don't think the Beast not tunneling will have any effect on S&B sells. I think the Beast price will hurt sell's for S&B, especially after their price hike takes effect. I have the S&B and it does not bother me because like others have, said I am...
No one really cares what you are saying because you are comparing two hunting scopes to a tactical scope. Hunting animals was probably never considered in the thought process when S&B designed it. This forum is for tactical shooting. Most of us know Swaro's and Leicas have great glass. It is...
I don't get why they are even making these scopes with a 3 to whatever. FFP is almost unusable for me at 5x and I have perfect vision. Can someone explain the point? Is 3x usable with a clip on? I can see that being the only reason.
The only time you might have the scope on 5x in a competition is when the match director set up a paper stage at 10 yards. Other than that you will never have it that low. I am waiting on the Beast, but I have other scopes to use right now. If you need something now you probably need to go a...
I can't really say as I am not a bench rest shooter and that scope may have just been a really bad example. My guess is that it would be more distracting for a tactical shooter. Most of the bench rest matches at my club are at 100 and the shooters are probably zoomed all the way in only seeing...
It is most notable with a white target than any other color. You will see purple around the edges of the target. White seems to exaggerate the issue. I was using a henny on a bench rest range with a lot of white targets. The ca was so bad it was distracting.
All that weight adds up. I'm not saying don't get it because of weight, just something to consider. If you are shooting tactical comps ffp is a good reason to switch from the nxs. I would suggest you talk to someone at Gene Sears in El Reno and ask when they expect them. Try to get your hands on...
The new razor is a great scope. I have only got to handle it shot show. So far the only negative I can see is the weight. That may not matter to you. Whats the main purpose of the rifle it is going on? Is it a target rifle or a deer rifle?
Ok, just wondering. That might be a more interesting comparison once the MSR has been put through it's paces. You guy's debating that the 700 is just as reliable as the AI is a little crazy. You are comparing an action that was designed for deer hunters against an action that was designed for...
