DFW area gunsmith needed for barrel threading

I didn’t know that Stick had left S and S precision. Sad to hear that they aren’t what they once were.

I’ve heard good things about S and S Precision http://sandsprecisionrifles.com/ There’s also Alamo Precision Rifles in Hurst/NRH

    Maggie’s Best single malt scotch

I've tried my fair share of single malt Scotch, the objectively best I've ever had was Macallan 25 year, but it's $1500 a bottle or so. My favorite all around is probably Lagavulin 16 followed by Laphroaig Quarter Cask. For the lighter stuff, I like either Glenfiddich or Glenlivet 12 or 15 year...

American Rifle's M5 Bolt Action, The Mausingfield

That action looks great. I like the features and all the engineering in it. Good work Ted. Also, A.R.C. has some of the absolute best customer service in the industry. Do you have any info on pricing and availability of the long action with a magnum bolt face? Best, Justin

    MK13 Mod 1

My understanding is that up until around the mod 5/6 transition time they were built on trued 700 long actions. I really like those rifles up until the AX chassis. To me it just doesn't look right for some reason.

    Maggie’s Metal thread?

A very cool song by Swedish progressive metal band Evergrey. They have the heaviness of modern metal but have the melody and clean vocals that the classic metal guys dig. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2Yq7S9-Ak8

    Maggie’s Metal thread?

Not a fan of what ended up becoming of this band and all the drama with Tim, but this song has the best breakdown I've ever heard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdSj0hMtmNs

    Maggie’s Metal thread?

Love Shadows Fall! Too bad they're on indefinite hiatus now. Here's a band I really, really dig that are unfortunately not very well known, and put on a fine show too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zw9C9wstUVc

    Maggie’s Metal thread?

I like listening to Dream Theater. They are hugely talented, but they are so boring to watch. Like a bunch of cyborgs who were given instruments. Queensryche, I love them. Very good music. On another note, I listened to this song yesterday. I just love it...

    Maggie’s Metal thread?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NA9QXtZiGuU More in the hard rock vein than metal in my book, but good none the less. I also really dig Alter Bridge, but Myles Kennedy has a voice that is pretty high and can be off putting to some people.

    Maggie’s Metal thread?

I spent my teenage years listening to everything from the classic metal, Priest and Maiden, to Slipknot, to really symphonic/melodic Scandinavian power metal like Kamelot, Falconer, and Rhapsody (of Fire), to really brutal stuff like Arsis and Children Of Bodom, really progressive stuff like...

Keith Merrow- Heart of the Sea Nymph (feat. Jeff Loomis) - YouTube I'll just leave this here. Instrumental, tech driven, strong melody, nuts pants riffage... that's my style! The Meshuggah stuff is acquired. I personally don't like to listen to it, but I respect the hell out of it. I heard...

Movie Theater Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...

So, just got back from seeing this steaming pile of dung... Probably the worst movie I've gone to in theaters in well over a year. So incredibly bad. Michael Bay certainly took a big turd on anything cool about the source material in this one. A couple laughs here and there, a few 90's...

Movie Theater Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

As far as I know, I can't put a time signature on the whole thing. Some stories could be a prequel, some could be a sequel. I just checked IMDb FAQ's because I was curious, and it says that none of it is chronological. There's also a mention of Brolin being a pre-surgery Dwight in the FAQ's...

    Gradous rifle collection

Very impressive group of rifles there Bob. I remember seeing a Surgeon 6.5x47 in your arsenal at one point too, did you get rid of that one?

Movie Theater Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

The thing about that is that in the first one, Dwight says he had just gotten a new face, i.e. plastic surgery, so I believe Josh Brolin is Dwight pre-op. If that's the way they go with it, I can dig. If it's just because they couldn't get Clive Owen, that's not nearly as cool.
