How many shooters do actually use wind meters regularly?

Don't waste your money and get nothing less than a Kestrel with AB or at least Horus. AB has been 100% spot on for me. During a comp I am constantly on my bino's and taking wind readings with the Kestrel. That will give you an idea of what's going on in the "big picture". With current...

Huntsman is a waste of skin, an oxygen thief and a killer.

Yeah, because 25 mph winds really give a shit about firebreaks. At one point embers were being dispersed 1.5 miles beyond the fire line. Take you anti-Ca bullshit somewhere else.

PRS Talk Mike Voigt Surefire Match results- and match pics

Last year was awesome, this year was epic. I can't wait to see what Mike and crew can put together for the Finale next year. <a href="http://s8.photobucket.com/user/gofasterdammit/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140913_164640_zpsuuwsy4i4.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img...

Be honest who would miss CA

Actually my statement on meth was based arrests for substance related crimes for Montague County, Texas. Information provided by Texas Department of State Health Services. Those are hard facts. You obviously have a bias against Californians which is fine. It also seems you don't mind doing...

Be honest who would miss CA

I'm so tired of California. I hate waking up by Big Sur and going paddle boarding in the morning. That really sucks. Then I hate driving 2 hours east and ride moto at national tracks or wakeboarding on thousands of miles of delta. The worst part is driving 2 more hours east and being able to...

    **6 Creedmoor**

You won't find one for a 6 Creedmoor. A standard o-ring bore guide for .308 will work fine.

    what came first ???

It all depends on what you plan to do. If you are going to go out in the desert and bang steel, an LRF would come in handy for UKD, assuming you have Ballistic FTE or similar. If your targets are KD, or plan on shooting comps (someone in the squad always has an LRF) get the Kestrel.

    Hornady 6mm creedmoor brass

I've shot probably around 5k rounds of 6 Creedmoor using Krieger and Bartlein barrels, H4350 and 105 Hybrids. I've never had any brass issues. I'm running them around 3050-3100. I've also been using Whidden bushing FL sizer dies since day 1. That was almost 2 years ago, Whidden needed once fired...

Best running shoes? What are the best running shoes for the $$$

Brooks Glycerin 12's. I HATE running shoes and always wore minimal support shoes for running. After trying those Brooks on I'm a changed man.

For the OP: 1. Go to NCPPRC: News and join the forum. There are plenty of members from the Bay Area in the club. 2. AR-15 and AR-10 rifles that are not on "the roster" are good to go with a bullet button. 3. Sourcing reloading components is no different than any other state. There are a...

**2014 JC Steel Target Challenge, Sponsored by Seekins Precision

By approach the platform I mean deliberately walk up and casually apply pressure to a shooter's foot to help steady them. It would have been obvious. You're right in the aspect that for a short period of time George was using a post a support due to his injury, but most of the time everyone was...

**2014 JC Steel Target Challenge, Sponsored by Seekins Precision

I'm Joe Mazzola, shooter #67, squaded with George and the shooters in question. I have no sponsors, no affiliation with GAP other than I shoot a GAP rifle. I was standing there the entire time watching everyone shoot because I was already prepped. At no time did I see anyone approach that...

**2014 JC Steel Target Challenge, Sponsored by Seekins Precision

How? It's not my first rodeo. It's common sense. If you walk to a stage and there are one or two squads waiting to shoot the stage, not counting the squad currently shooting the stage, it would be a good idea to skip that stage and come back to shoot it later. Otherwise you'll be in that...

**2014 JC Steel Target Challenge, Sponsored by Seekins Precision

I completely agree. My squad completed six out of nine stages. The squads that completed two to four were probably not hustling. If there's two or three squads waiting at a stage (which there was), then that squad should have moved onto the next stage (which was what my squad did). After the...

Good time to switch to a 260?

I'd run a .260 only if you use a reamer that accommodates the thicker neck of Lapua .260 brass. Remington brass is almost non-existant and I have not heard too much about the SSA .260 brass thats out. It seems to be easier to locate the Lapua .260 brass due to it's higher price and it won't work...
